]]> We are very pleased to have been appointed to be Architect of Tonbridge School Chapel and have completed the quinquennial inspection and report. The Chapel was designed by Campbell Jones at the turn of the twentieth century but suffered a devastating fire in 1988 and was restored externally by Buttress Fuller Allsop between 1992 to 95, but with an award winning new decorative scheme internally with a steel truss roof and with fine oak joinery panelling and pews.

The need for the stone slate roofing work was identified in Daniel’s quinquennial inspections. The first phase of work re-slated the church and undertook stone repairs whilst the second phase repaired and improved the churchyard.

]]> On site this spring and summer, the lead roof to the Chancel at St Mary’s, Aylesbury, is being replaced as part of a phased programme of repairs to this historic Grade I listed church.  Last year’s phase of works included high level stonework repairs, new stone chancel cross, window restoration and repairs to interior features.  Those works will be featured in the upcoming Spring edition of Ecclesiastical & Heritage World magazine.
