Holy Trinity Tooting: Tower repairs

The scaffolding and temporary roof has enabled a closer inspection of the high-level Bath stonework to the cornice and the Ragstone of the elevations, all in very poor condition with ‘live’ areas of masonry. The masonry adjacent to the boiler flue is especially fragile with loose Ragstone and major cracking.
Samples of new Bathstone corbels are being prepared to replace the most weathered and the Parish have launched a ‘Buy a flower for our Tower’ fund raising initiative.
