METHODIST CENTRAL HALL

The visitor centre

Methodist Central Hall welcomes visitors from across the world to visit this iconic 1912 Edwardian building which has housed events as diverse as the inaugural meeting of the United Nations, featuring in the film Calendar Girls, and hosting speeches by Winston Churchill, Gandhi and the Dalai Lama.

The refurbished visitor centre relocated the Historic Roll to be the main focus, the Roll records the names of all those who gave money to the twentieth century fund, part of which was used to construct the building.

A new shop area, plus interactive screens, will follow as the next phase. The opportunity was taken to refurbish the business centre as the Hall is central London’s largest conference and events venue with over 25 rooms of differing sizes.

Up-to-date offices were provided to a completely refurbished mezzanine including the removal of 1970’s suspended ceilings and partitions, new glass balustrade with bronze handrail, glass fire lobby, a refurbished meeting room and full IT provision.
